Prayer answered
by StopTheTears inmy van broke down before christmas.
i could not even afford to have it "looked at", let alone repaired.
so, i have been praying that god would somehow work this whole situation out.. .

If you believe in Gods laws why dont you go live in Saudi Arabia ?
by mP ini think we all know that shariah law is basically mohammads copy of the torah, with minor edits.
slavery, womens inequality, anti homosexuality are obviously written in the same spirit.
so believers why dont you go live in saudi arabia if yo u believe gods law is perfect or at the last useful ?.

Ravens - dude its the same both ways athisetism "can" do the same thing, ppl can take the idea that there is no higher accountabilty and do all sorta evil things, to an athiest self is god in the sense that you only have to be accountable to your self and you can determine what is right and wrong. so there is a huge range of morals. god is not the problem ppl are!
I would argue that more people will justify their violent acts, burglaries and criminal behavior by saying “god will forgive me.” If what you say is true, why do you suppose that atheists supply less than 1% of prisons while Christians make up 75%?
You are right that people are the problem, religious people.

Congrats Comatose, the first 12 months were the toughest. Once I got past the 1 yr mark it became easier. I still have regular cravings but they are much easier to ignore.
I do enjoy the buzz from a cigar... not nearly as good as a whiskey, but ... oh well

Is that discrimination for not hiring straight people?
by Iamallcool ini do know one agency (i will not give a clue what kind of agency is it, etc...) that was run by a straight married female and her staff did not have any gay people in it and she quit to move to another state with her husband.
the board of directors hired a gay male to head the staff, the staff slowly quit by one by one for some unknown reasons and he begin to hire gay people to work for him, i now do not see any single straight worker working for him, is that discrimination for not hiring straight people?.

I might file a complaint. I am thinking about it.
Why do you care? Trying to get a job there?
